Former Gyft CEO and co-founder of Project Civic, Vinny Lingham, has sometimes been referred to as an “Oracle” for correctly predicting the future price of Bitcoin. Until 2016, Lingham made correct Bitcoin price calls on various occasions over the years. Although Bitcoin’s price has been lower in the past few weeks, having fallen more than 40% in the past three months, Lingham has an optimistic outlook if “$ 30,000 continues to hold”.
Vinny Lingham’s latest Bitcoin predictions show optimism
Vinny Lingham talks about Bitcoin (BTC) price predictions again and when he does a number of people listen. Lingham has been forecasting prices for years, and people have referred to him as the “oracle” for guessing correctly far more often than most people.
Project co-founder Civic’s bitcoin predictions aren’t always optimistic, and his calls tend to be more conservative than people with offbeat predictions. Still, Lingham, like many others, believes there is a chance that BTC could hit six-digit numbers in 2021.
“If $ 30,000 continues to hold, we’ll likely crack $ 100,000 in Bitcoin this year,” Lingham said tweeted on Sunday afternoon (ET).
A number of people replied to Lingham’s tweet and one person wrote: “The legend is spoken. The last time he did [predicted] BTC, ETH, [and] FIL and at the end [they pumped] heavy. Big respect. ”Another Twitter account called“ Ronpaul2012 ”also replied to Lingham and predicted: “$ 169,420 by Christmas.”
Lingham “expects a big rally later this year”
Four days ago, Lingham also posted a bullish tweet reminding his 184,000 Twitter followers of a tweet he posted on May 23rd. Back in May, Lingham said: “2021 looks a lot like 2013 …” His bullish tweet on June 22nd retweeted his May statement and he noted:
You heard it here first. Expect a big rally later this year …
In response to the “big rally,” one person described the comment as bold. “Quite a brave man. I like that. It hasn’t felt this bad / bearish in a long time, “the person said to Lingham. “I think the mid to low $ 20,000 looks like a great opportunity … when we get it.”
The Civic co-founder also spoke about El Salvador earlier this month when President Nayib Bukele and Salvadoran Congress made BTC legal tender in the country. While sharing an exploding head emoji, Lingham wrote that the effects are overwhelming.
“Bitcoin has just moved from non-state-sanctioned money to state-sanctioned money,” Lingham tweeted. “I’m really not sure if this is good or bad now. #popcorntime, “he added.
