British auction house Christie’s will accept bitcoin and ether for a painting valued at an estimated $ 6 million. The digital wallet with which the painting is paid for must be kept with one of the approved custodian banks such as Coinbase, Fidelity, Gemini or Paxos.

Christie emphasizes:
Only payments from digital wallets maintained on these platforms count towards this ticket purchase, and we do not recognize payments from digital wallets hosted on other exchanges or self-hosted wallets.
