Elon Musk from Tesla and Jack Dorsey from Twitter agree to have “the conversation” at the Bitcoin event “B Word” – Bitcoin News Feature

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter, have agreed to speak at the Bitcoin event called “The B Word,” which is designed to show institutional investors how to accept Bitcoin.

Elon Musk vs. Jack Dorsey at the Bitcoin event

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and Spacex, and Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter and Square, have agreed to hold a discussion at a Bitcoin event called “The B Word”.

According to its website, The B Word event will take place on July 21st. It is a “Bitcoin-focused initiative aimed at demystifying and destigmatizing mainstream bitcoin narratives, explaining how institutions can and should adopt it, and raising awareness of areas of the network in need of support.” “Is described on its website.

Dorsey, who will be speaking at the event, tweeted Thursday to promote the event. “As more and more companies and institutions join the mix, we would all like to help protect and disseminate what makes the open development of Bitcoin so perfect. This day will focus on education and action to do just that, ”wrote the Twitter CEO.

Musk replied to Dorsey’s tweet: “Bicurious?” The Tesla CEO appeared to be commenting on what “B” stands for in the name of the event. He later tweeted: “Oh right … Bitcoin haha.”

In response to Musk, Dorsey wrote, “Bizarre! Let’s have a chat at the event. You can share all of your curiosities … “

In response to Dorsey’s suggestion, “Let’s have the conversation,” Musk agreed and wrote, “For the Bitcurious? All right, then we’ll do it. “Dorsey followed:” Done! Will be set up. “

Lots of people are thrilled that Musk will talk to Dorsey about Bitcoin, even though no one has clarified what it is actually about.

Cathie Wood, CEO of Ark Invest, who will also be speaking on The B Word, tweeted:

Brilliant. I’m looking forward to the discussion.

Wood and Dorsey believe that bitcoin mining can help the environment, while Musk believes that activity is harmful to the environment. Wood’s investment company, Ark Invest, and Square jointly released a report arguing that bitcoin mining is net for the environment.

Tesla invested $ 1.5 billion in Bitcoin in the first quarter and began accepting the cryptocurrency for payments in March. However, Musk said in May that the electric car maker stopped accepting BTC, citing environmental concerns. He then said that Tesla will start accepting Bitcoin again “when there is confirmation of reasonable (~ 50%) clean energy consumption by miners with a positive future trend”. However, it can be difficult to verify its requirement.

Many people have tried to convince Musk that he was misinformed about Bitcoin’s environmental impact, including Shark Tank star Mark Cuban. NBA team owner Dallas Mavericks told Musk that adopting Bitcoin is actually good for the environment. The Tesla CEO also spoke to North American Bitcoin miners with the help of Microstrategy CEO Michael Saylor. The miners then formed a Bitcoin Mining Council.
