Eric Grill, the CEO of Chainbytes, tweeted on June 21, “Excited to Bring Chainbytes Bitcoin ATMs to El Salvador”.
June 17th, Chainbytes tweeted: “Our Bitcoin ATMs are ready to be sent to El Salvador.”
Grill recently praised El Salvador for “showing the world leadership in adopting Bitcoin as a legal currency”. The CEO said: “We believe that this is positioning the country more as a technology center” and added that his company “wants to contribute to its success”. Grill continued:
Our initiative will provide all Salvadorans with the education and skilled jobs they need, which in turn will contribute to the economy and the nation.
Tuesday’s announcement said, “Chainbytes will provide services to Salvadorans who wish to operate Bitcoin ATMs in the country and work with their government, legal entities and partnerships to ensure the manufacturing center is successful and brings prosperity to the country.”
Company COO Tracy Jefferson stated that El Salvador “has free zones and service parks that will encourage more companies to work here.” She also stated that “with the sea and air hubs, it makes sense for us to not only produce machines here for Salvadorans, but also to export them throughout North and South America.”
